Journal of Tourism and Regional Development, a peer-reviewed academic journal, has been published since 2014 by the Institute of Economics and Finance at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
The journal publishes articles in Polish and English, serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among representatives of academia, the industry, and public administration. Its scope covers tourism and regional development in the broadest sense. It is published under an open access model (Open Access) under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. The journal is published twice a year.

The journal was supported by funds from the state budget under the "Development of scientific journals" program based on the Agreement for the implementation of the project no. RCN/SP/0084/2021/1. Amount of funding: PLN 35,300.00.
Project objective: to raise the level of publishing and editorial practices of the "Journal of Tourism and Regional Development", to increase the impact of the periodical on the development of science, and to maintain the journal in international scientific circulation - a task financed from the funds of the Ministry of Education and Science (currently the Ministry of Science and Higher Education) allocated for activities popularizing science.
